O Perfume do Boi foi filmado durante uma viagem de três meses em sentido anti-horário pelas fronteiras de Portugal.
Fora das cidades, nos campos e nas florestas, em circos de pequenas cidades, com os lunáticos e os acrobatas. A forte sensação narrativa vem acompanhada de uma suspeita igualmente forte de que talvez não haja história. As fotos dos animais e das pessoas combinadas com os elementos naturais causam uma sensação de perigo iminente e problemas. Há uma aura de profecia e mito e, no final, ficamos com o eco de um grito na noite.
«Os cinco elementos japoneses são, por ordem crescente de poder: Terra, Água, Fogo, Vento e Vazio», diz o autor.

Os dois primeiros livros desta série estão esgotados: MASTER AND EVERYONE e I THOUGHT YOU KNEW WHERE ALL OF THE ELEPHANTS LIE DOWN. Esta trilogia de títulos foi concebida como partituras de música clássica.

O Perfume do Boi was shot during a three-month anticlockwise journey around Portugal’s borders. 
Outside cities, out in the fields and in the woods, in small town circuses, with the lunatics and the acrobats. The very strong narrative feeling comes with an equally strong suspicion that there might be no story. The photos of the animals and people combined with the natural elements, cause a sense of eminent danger and trouble. There is an aura of prophecy and myth, and in the end we are left with the echo of a cry in the night.

The first two books of this series are sold out: MASTER AND EVERYONE and I THOUGHT YOU KNEW WHERE ALL OF THE ELEPHANTS LIE DOWN. This trilogy of titles were designed like classical music scores.
